One of my hotspot client has problem on the LAN connection. This happen when I setup her PC to connected to JAHT WP-4001BR 54Mbps Wireless Bridge AP. The IP, Subnet and other parameter of networking not appear on the LAN properties when do manual configuration or assign by DHCP server.
After do several experiments such as change the LAN cable, install external LAN PCI Realtek but the problem still persist. So, I decide to reinstall the Compaq Desktop EVO D51C with Windows XP Professional SP2.
No need to talk about how to Install Windows XP Pro SP2 here because this OS has many tutorial in Internet. Just notice, when you finish the installation on Desktop Evo computer, some hardware need driver such as the Ethernet controller driver, video card driver, sound driver and the last is the chipset.
Fortunately all needed drivers still available in HP Compaq websites. But you need to decide which drivers that suitable and run flawlessly on the desktop. For now, I download 4 drivers and all of drivers run smooth.
