Installing The Google Chrome OS on Laptop
Google has announced their latest project to built a new Operating System. They called Google Chrome OS, it remind us about their browser project chrome. The Google Chrome OS for the first step will specific for netbook. as we know, Google has android to deploy their operating system on the phone based through the netbook.
Perhaps, the Google Chrome OS is the next step from Google to continue their effort to serve the people on the web. Now, with the Google Chrome OS, Google has been open the battle with existing OS vendor such as Microsoft, Apple and perhaps with Linux.
As we know, the Google Chrome OS just for netbook. How about if we install the Google chrome OS to laptop?. Installing the Google Chrome OS on laptop will become interesting experience because variant of the specifications laptop. Based on the statement by Google, The Chrome OS will running on x86 machine and ARM chips. It means the laptop could be installed with the Chrome OS.
Just wait the moment when Google release it on the second half of 2010. get to know the first netbook which preinstall with Google Chrome OS and perhaps some geeks will try to installed also on the laptop. I will wait and try it also on my laptop. How about you?

there goes greedy google. I don’t know. after they wanted to put down firefox with their browser, then I guess they tried to compete with Ubuntu now.

Chrome OS is just based on Linux and it is not really a “real” proprietary operating system from Google. i wonder if Google would also compete with MS Windows in the future.
i tried Chrome OS and it is pretty much like a scaled down version of Ubuntu. Chrome is just based on Linux and there is not much innovation in it.
I have installed Chrome OS on one of my netbooks and the performance of Chrome OS is just okay. there is nothing fancy or very special about it. It was just a sort of GUI version of linux or something.

Chrome OS is just another rebranded Linux GUI, it would be much better if Google came up with an OS that would directly compete with Windows.

i installed Chrome OS on two of my netbooks. the Chrome OS works great and its loading time is very fast too.
All: thanks for your comment. Chrome OS will make other OS to improve their ability and features. Just install which you think it fit with your requirement and please consider also the price.
