Upgrade Ubuntu Intrepid to Jaunty on Compaq Presario CQ40
Jaunty has been install completely on my laptop. The way how to upgrade already post on the previous posting, do upgrade by dist-upgrade method. When I do upgrade directly through Internet, need one thousand files to be download then installed on the laptop. I need one night to download all package which needed by Jaunty. No error, no many question during upgrade. All working well, except the sound. I did not hear any sound from the laptop. So, I need to tweak to return back the sound come to my laptop. Yes, I know this is too late for some Ubuntuers to upgrade the Ubuntu using the latest Ubuntu version of Jaunty Jackalope. Many of them has been upgrade and review the Ubuntu Jaunty jackalope. I’ve just install proxy squid server with Linux Debian Lenny as the Operating System. I’m using netinstall version due to I need the base system and add the package gradually based on needs.
