Microsoft’s Party for Windows 7 Launch

Microsoft provides a series of parties in the world to celebrate the release of Windows 7, and seeks to accommodate users.

“These gatherings can are a way for people who are excited about 7 to bring together their friends, families and acquaintances to see the experience the product,” said Brandon Le Blanc on the Windows Experience blog.

Some computer enthusiasts organize festivities to launch the software, users of Mozilla, which will take place in particular, Firefox 3 meetings. Microsoft tries to imitate, but organizers of the party will receive a free version of Windows 7 for their troubles, and the chance to win a laptop.

“They can happen anywhere – at home, in a cafe, at schools, or at other community gathering spots and can be as flexible and creative as you and your circle of people. I’m thinking about hosting a Launch Party myself and thinking about where and who to invite to my party when I host it.”

Microsoft provides over a thousand parties across the world and the company expects to more than 10,000 people attend between 22-29 October in 12 countries including USA, UK, Australia, India and China.

To be accepted as official hospitality users must apply and be at least 10 people were present at the launch party. There are four issues that the parties – PhotoPalooza, Media Mania, a configuration easy and fun for families.

    Its a smart promotional strategy by Microsoft which is already gaining popularity. Microsoft is trying everything to make Win 7 a gigantic success.
