Winamp plus shoutcast radio is a MUST to install in my laptop which running Microsoft windows Operating System like Windows XP and/ or Windows 7. I love radio and prefer hearing radio even I have huge collection of mp3 file. In my mind, not complete enough working with laptop and internet without accompny by radio especially the radio online from my home town.
But how if I want to playing my home town radio online with Linux?, It is easy using rhythmbox but it has limitation since shoutcast radio not supported -for now-.So, what is solution from Linux?, We have EXAILE. Exaile support shoutcast radio flawlessly.
Referring to exaile website, Exaile is a music manager and player for GTK+ written in Python. It incorporates automatic fetching of album art, lyrics fetching, Last.fm scrobbling, support for many portable media players, internet radio such as shoutcast, and tabbed playlists.
Internet radio such as shoutcast is my requirement to use the music manager in daily activity. If Exaile do, so could be Exaile is my default music manager and purge others for a while.
I really appreciate for this post. keep posting up.
