Ubuntu 7.10 End Of Life on April 18,2009

Canonical will end support for Ubuntu 7.10 on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Sad to hear this news. But don’t worry because we still have other version of Ubuntu that update every 6 months. Actually as the caninical promise before, The Ubuntu 7.10 has support 18 months. Since the Ubuntu 7.10 has been release on October 18, 2007 and the date of 18 months after is April 18,2009.

So, Please upgrade your Ubuntu 7.10 to Ubuntu 8.04 that has Long Term Support. For upgrade tutorial and instructions could be found at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardyUpgrades. Note that upgrades to version 8.10 and beyond are only supported in multiple steps, via an upgrade first to 8.04 LTS, then to 8.10. Both Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and Ubuntu 8.10 continue to be actively supported with security updates and select high-impact bug fixes.
